IWWB Blog Turns 2

It’s my half birthday. Yes. it is absolutely a thing. People celebrate month milestones for babies. I choose to celebrate half year milestones. I digress- besides being my half birthday, it’s the two year anniversary of this blog. *cues Happy Birthday song in background*

I can’t believe I’ve been blogging for two years. While I wasn’t perfect or consistent, this blogging journey has been just as prolific as my healing journey. Every reason I had for creating this blog still holds value now and I feel like I’m only getting better (I may be a little biased tho).

My main reason for starting this blog was to help me cope with my myasthenia gravis / autoimmune disease. After a year of symptoms, flare ups and hospital visits I was in a tailspin. Writing was (IS) my outlet. It’s therapeutic. The well meaning people in my life don’t really understand. But this blog was there for me. It continues to be a safe haven where I can expressed how I’m feeling as I live my illest life.

I’m not totally self absorbed. This blog was also created to help others. I wanted to put information out there for those newly diagnosed and also create a sense of community.. An autoimmune diagnosis is one of the most scary things in life. Being properly educated and having people who can relate to what you’re going through it important. I write about what I’m going through so the next person won’t feel so lost in the sauce.

So I just want to take a moment to say thank you. If you’ve ever read one of my posts, reposted a link, liked a photo, watched a youtube video, left a comment, DMed me.. THANK YOU.  I’ve connected with a few cool people in this journey. I hope that you’ve learned something here or felt a twinge of inspiration from even just one post.

Moving Forward

I’m still figuring things out in my healing journey as well as my blogging journey. So bear with me. If I had one wish for my blog bday cake, it’d be to continue to connect, share and grow with you guys. Cheers to another year, more content, more consistency and more healing.

Accept what IS. Let go of what WAS. Embrace what WILL BE.

Morgan Greene is a Maryland chronic illness and holistic wellness lifestyle blogger. After years of struggling with her autoimmune disease diagnosis, Myasthenia Gravis, she decided to combine two of her favorite things…writing and informing others

IsWasWillBe.com was created to have unfiltered discussions about having a chronic illness. It has since become a place to inspire and create a sense of community among women with autoimmune diseases. Morgan loves trying new things and sharing with other spoonies how to live an ill life on their terms.

When she’s not blogging she is probably reading a book, drinking a Coke Slurpee or listening to music.
